Annual Christmas Advent Calendar

Well, it hasn't changed much over the past three years, but I wanted to share my annual Christmas Advent calendar with you.

You may remember I stole a version of this idea from my friend Erin, who always had a December calendar in her house with an activity each day. The calendar was purchased at Target and each day I include a post-it with a fun, festive activity and a Hershey kiss

Here's what's on our list for 2025:

1. Have hot chocolate! (this actually ended up being a huge chocolate cupcake)
2. Play a board game - Cam's choice! (He picked Zombie Kidz, which we have really enjoyed!)
3. Watch a holiday movie (we watched Elf last night)
4. Eat at Gonza! (A favorite during December because they have a festive tamale special that I look forward to all year!)
5. Decorate the Christmas tree
6. Celebration of Lights at Grey Stone church
7. Santa Brunch at Croasdaile
8. Breakfast for dinner
9. Build a gingerbread house (got my kit today at Walmart!)
10. Read The Polar Express (my favorite Christmas book of all-time)
11. Make hot chocolate bombs! (Last year Cam got an "I'm the Chef Too" subcription and this was part of the December kit. Since I still have the silicone mold and they were fairly easy, we are going to do this again!)
12.  Watch Home Alone (paired with cheese pizza and Coke a 'la Kevin McAllister!)
13. Use a Christmas bath bomb (need to get this on Amazon but Cam loves a bath bomb, lol)
14. Decorate sugar cookies (I think I need to move this up on the timeline, so I may throw in an alternate)
15. Pick the annual Christmas puzzle (my tradition that Cam now partakes in)
16. Boy's night (well, I'll be at Articles Club so Brian is in charge :-))
17. Make a card for your teacher to pair with her gift
18. Angus Barn!!!!
19. Have a cake pop
20. Go on a hike
21. Open a gift
22. Starbucks + Drive around the neighborhood to look at lights
23. Go ice skating
24. Read the Christmas story from the Bible
25. Celebrate the birth of Jesus!

As you can see, it's easy to switch out activities and be flexible - Cam never notices! He has really enjoyed this calendar each year, and I know Brooke will love it too once she gets a bit older.
