December Down & Out
Welcome, December!
Since Thanksgiving weekend, I've been sick with a fever, then a sore throat, and now a bad cold.
Sheesh.
This has not been my week.
Rest in peace, my sweet, speedy friend.
I actually had this whole blog post planned out featuring the urchin.
Look at all those little legs. He was a fast mover, which I believe is a rare trait in the urchin population.
Unfortunately, our urchin died long before his blog fame.
When I saw the urchins legs laying scattered around the floor of the fish tank, I knew he would join the ranks of Steig Larrson and Edgar Allen Poe. His fame will not come until after his death. So check back next week for this big blog feature.
Thank goodness we still have Jacques, our French shrimp extraordinaire.
Here's a picture I was able to find of Jacques from his days spent in the waters of Paris:
Thank you for all of your kind words and prayers as we recover from the loss of our dear urchin pet.
I have so much planned for The Sweet Tooth blog this month, but our unexpected urchin death has really put me behind on my work.
Love & Happy Friday to you all!

Sorry for the lack of blogging. I've been in mourning the past few days. Our pet urchin died suddenly on Wednesday.
Rest in peace, my sweet, speedy friend.

ReplyDeleteI thought Jacques passed away and this was a new French Shrimp named Pierre.
I am sorry to hear of your urchin loss, and I wish for you a time of healing and hope.
you may have a little too much time on your hands. can i have your job? i hope you feel better soon! can't wait to see you tonight! :)
ReplyDeleteBen, thank you for your kind words. And you're right, I forgot that this actually is indeed Pierre, who now goes by the nickname "Jacques Number Two."
ReplyDeleteErin, I am so swamped at work today. Not sure how I found a spare hour to photo shop French accessories onto my shrimp picture ;-)
