Thankful Thursday

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

This is Honduras.
On the right side of the photo you can see the village, where a few lines of government "houses" form a tiny community--Nuevo Esperanza--or "new hope".
The houses were built as temporary shelter by the government in response to a hurricane Mitch in 1998.
The temporary one-room, cement shelters were actually much better than their previous houses, so the people moved into the new homes and are still living there today.

And to think....
So often I complain, moan, and groan about my "struggles." And I often fail to thank God for all my blessings on a daily basis.
