Update on Otis
Brian and I were in Vegas last week (no Prince Harry sighting, in case you were wondering).
We left Otis with my parents to hang out with the World's Greatest Dog (ie. Colby). I'm a little biased but these two dogs are the best ever.
Unfortunately Otis got a bad case of Cherry Eye, which is common in bulldogs. Needless to say, I had a slight panic attack when I realized Otis' suffering. And by "slight panic attack" I mean full-blown meltdown. His eyes looked HORRIBLE. I thought for sure he might end up losing his vision or having permanent damage to his eyes.
Luckily, after an emergency trip to the vet, we have been given antibiotic eye drops and our vet has assured us that Otis is okay and his eyes will ultimately be fine.
I didn't realize how much I would miss him over the weekend! I've been so happy that I've gotten to spend a lot of time with him this week.
Otis now weighs 25 lbs (he will probably get up to 60 lbs full grown). He has an appetite unlike any dog I have ever seen!
It's no longer easy to carry him around. It's soon gonna look something like this.....
(That's some pro football player and his bullddog "Riggs." Thank you Google Image.)
His underbite is getting very pronounced, so I have a feeling his teeth will soon look like this:
And recently, maybe due to the underbite, he is starting to stick his tongue out when he sleeps. It is so adorable, and pretty characteristic of bulldogs I think.
I melt everytime.
Alright, now I know those pictures aren't of Otis per se, but I will try really hard to get some good pictures of him this weekend so you can see how much he has grown.
Also, Otis lifted his leg to pee this morning! This is a huge milestone in his life. (Don't pretend not to care).
What happened to my sweet little darling baby??????
