Texas Pulled Pork
Texas Pulled Pork
I'm not sure what it is about this BBQ that makes it Texan.
It was good. So good, in fact, that I insisted Brian try a bite while I was taste-testing the pork before dinner.
I placed a large amount of pork (and all of it's saucy goodness) onto a fork.
I steered the fork in the direction of Brian's mouth, ignoring the fact that he was shaking his head back and forth. (In hindsight, this would've been the perfect time to use Brian's favorite "no means yes" line.)
I reiterated that the pork was "sogoodyougottatryit," complete with moaning noises.
And then I accidentally dropped the large amount of pork (and all of it's saucy goodness) onto Brian's brand new J.Crew khaki pants.
I found the incident to be slightly amusing.
(That made one of us.)
Despite the unfortunate pre-dinner events, the BBQ was delicious. I cooked it over 10 hours on low heat in the Crockpot. Placed on a bun and paired with a side of french fries, this makes for an excellent dinner!
